See Rare Video of Wild Gorilla Newborn Clinging to Its Mom
March 13, 2018 - Scientists captured rare footage of a week-old newborn western lowland gorilla in the Republic of the Congo. The gorillas avoid human interaction, and it's rare to see babies this young in the wild. Gorillas give birth about once every four years, and only one in three babies will make it to adulthood. They are critically endangered, but populations in this area of the Congo are relatively stable. Click here to read Wild Gorilla Cuddles Its Newborn Baby in Rare Video.
